Voor Margaret Pan werd een akoestisch Clavion gebouwd met een Europese standaard. De toonomvang is: G-Bes_ c1-chromatisch-d5. Het klavier is verscheept en eind april 2014 aangekomen.
Ze schreef: “Thanks for building the clavion for me! I am very happy to have it”.
Margaret Pan began studying carillon in 2007 with Robin Austin at Princeton University and passed the advancement exam of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America in 2008. During the 2008-2009 academic year she played at Trinity United Church of Christ in Holland, Pennsylvania as well as at Princeton. After a cross-country move in 2009, Ms Pan joined the carillon staff at UC Berkeley, where she plays weekly and teaches beginning students through the DeCal program. Recently she has also been a visiting student at the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen, Belgium and had lessons with Eddy Marien, Koen Cosaert, and Erik Vandevoort. She holds physics and astrophysics degrees from MIT and Caltech and is a Berkeley astronomy postdoc studying planetary dynamics in our and other solar systems.
